NATASHA+MICHAEL | SACRAMENTO, CA. NATASHA+MICHAEL | SACRAMENTO, CA. Jun 28th | You + We HIDE POST

"Love at first sight" is definately a quote for Nata and Mike, my wife Lesya grew up with Nata in Moldova, and Mike grew up in the Ukraine. I dont even know how to explain my feelings towards this couple as they overflow. The joy they share, the love they have is so strong. When I first met them both it was in summer 2007 back in Moldova, there Mike proposed to Nata in the center, here are their photos. After their engagement they had asked me about taking photographs for their wedding the following summer. I was honored but I admit i was nervous as I had never been a main photographer at a wedding before so I contacted my good friends at His Creations photography who where in the local area to see if they could help me when I went over, and knowing Damion with his heart of gold he gladly offered. When I went to the states in March for my first time we got the opprtunity to meet with him and his wife and 2 beatiful girls...

When we arrived for Nata and Mikes wedding I was slightly nervous as damion hadnt met the couple before and had a short period of contact, but after minutes of arriving the whole family where in love with him. The bond between us couldnt have been any better. All that was left was magic.

Damion and Sasha spent the morning with the girls while I had the privelege to take the photos of the "lads" and then we both met up early morning to go for thefirst sighting, here are some images :)

Damion set up a first sighting of the couple, while the 2 other guys where bringing the bride out, i got a few moments to take some time with Mike who nervously waited outside, and the first sighting truly told it all:

We then hit downtown sacramento for some awesome photos on the boulevards and near the famous bridge in sacramento. While damion and Sasha went off with the bride and groom to the bridge I spent some time with the bridal party getting some cool snaps of them having fun.

Here are some photos from the ceremony...

The whole day was beautiful and Damion captured it completely in body and soul with his slideshow here. I just want to thank Nata and Mike for putting up with all 3 of us (me, sasha and damion) it was quite the paparrazzi for the day :)

2 amazing friends, 2 amazing photoshoots :) 2 amazing friends, 2 amazing photoshoots :) Jun 27th | You + We HIDE POST

I have been fortunate to meet many very talented photographers and learn from them, but also get to work with them through my business.

Whilst in Vegas, we had the opportunity to have the most incredible photoshoot with Scarlett Lillian, the images came out amazing and well - it was one crazy evening, now i know how tired the clients can be after a photoshoot, as i was absolutely exhausted! lol. Once again thank you Scarlett.

Check the images out below!

check the slideshow out here:

When we were in San Diego in March/April we got to meet Carey Schumacher several times, over the last year Carey has became a great friend of ours not simply for her daughter who beat me at the nintendo ds, and love for Chipotle but for her amazing personality. Her family work on beaches is amazing, and she certainly knows how to work with clients, I know when I have kids id treasure a photo shoot with her. We were really fortunate that she took some great photos of me and Lesya when we were there with Eddie Bojorquez, its nice to get beach photos as Moldova being landlocked, and Ireland where I grew up is covered with beaches within an hours reach so it meant alot to us.

Heres some of the fun :)

eddie taking some great shots of us also :)

US TRIP - May|June US TRIP - May|June Jun 27th | You + We HIDE POST

This last trip to the US was amazing, still a crazy trip, im growing on the travelling but 20 hour flights are hard work! This time we went through Paris-Atlanta-Sacramento and on the return through seattle direct to Paris, where we lost our luggage and Sasha missed his connecting flight to Kiev - so the 2 day wait in Kiev started for sasha and then for the luggage before we had a full day to drive back to Moldova. One thing I have learnt about eastern europe is that nothing is simple or easy, but you get used to it :)

Whilst in the US we had 3 weddings and one AMAZING TTD session with Shawn Reederat Yosemite. This guy knows how to photograph there, his images are breathtaking and his music is just as good. We also got to meet Tana Huffman again after meeting her in Vegas for WPPI, and Jen and Chris Stewartboth of which are amazing photographers in the Sacramento Area.

Theres still lots more posts to catch up with here and some very exciting stuff that happened between my trips to the US in Moldova. Ill be posting the weddings shortly :D

CATCHING UP FOR LOST TIME CATCHING UP FOR LOST TIME Jun 19th | You + We HIDE POST

The last several months have probably been the craziest most busy time of my life, Both business have been going well, photography and web design, that its been hard to keep on top of things.

Flosites is a custom web design business for professional media professionals such as photographers and videographers. We first started this business in August of last year, with my first paid project from a now good friend Oleksandr Havrylyuk with his logo:

Since then Flosites has grown rapidly, which has been a real blessing, but like in any business there are growing pains and hard times, and LOTS of stress :) i have only God to thank for the blessings on the business. we keep still growing and getting bigger and bigger, and have some yummy new things coming out for photographers, I just wish there where more hours in the day. on a side note, if you know any good Flash or PHP programmers let us know :D we are always looking for more talented people to hire.

March was the first time I had ever been out of europe, to the States. I went with Lesya to Vegas to a wedding photographers conference called WPPI, it was a pretty long trip in total.

While there we got to meet some of the most amazing photographers, and a lot of good friends through working closely with our clients. One lunch we got the opportunity to meet Oleksandr and Gabe from perspectiveye, both incredible photographers, its a must to check their work.

Lesya was offered an opportunity she couldnt turn down to help at the notorious Champagne Shootout for non other than Mike Fulton of Tricoast Photography. As you will see from Mikes blog he has a heart of gold, and it clearly shows when you meet him. Lesya also was a model for some of our buddy photographers from Trash The Dress (which is a must for you married ladies) to the famous Neon Boneyards in vegas.

Jason Cohen Looking his best :) check that guys M8! it does some serious work!

We also got plenty of time to go around and site see vegas, the place is gorgeous, quite different than anything I have ever seen before but the one thing I hated was the climate, after several days I thought we were going to be burnt raisins, drying up with the heat.

On the last day in Vegas, we went with the guys from Trash the dress + Dont box Us In to their workshop in red Canyon, vegas called Leavin Las Vegas

there were about 60-70 photographers there if i remember correctly, but the atmosphere was dynamite, when you have so many talented photographers in such a small place with some awesome models its hard not to get excited as a photographer. Here are a few snaps i took while helping at the workshop.

John Edgar from stillmotion giving some art direction

2 of the worlds funnest photographers to be with, in the bright yellow is David from Ohana Photography one of our sponsored photographers and down bottom is Chris from Jen Stewart Photography.

some fun shots of photographers:

Erwin Wijanto - probably the gadget guy in the photography business, hes loaded with flashes, cameras and everything wrapped all around his body!

david Beckstead - Known throughout most of the photography business as one of the worlds top wedding photographers, his images clearly show his talent, so check them out if you havent already.

Paul from Amorphia Photography - Quite easily one of the funniest guys ive met, and its not because he's Greek, both he, his wife Sofie and Tana where a huge help in setting up the workshop, and paul's landscape photography is inspirational.

Jason Groupp propping up the famous model in Black, and to the right we have the famous Bobbi, jocelyn and Heather Cole.

Before we left though we all met up with all the photographers to say our goodbyes before we went our seperate ways.

Myself, Mark Eric, lesya and Tim Co.

Lesya, Paul, Jason D, Me + Mark Eric.

Tana, Sofie and Lesya

Lesya, Jason G and Me

But it wouldnt be any fun without visiting the Welcome to vegas sign!

A fun ones of all the guys jumping before leaving home to san diego with David.

Sorry folks for the long post! it was a fun one bringing back the good memories.

A New blog, A new beginning A New blog, A new beginning Jun 19th | You + We HIDE POST

Welcome to the new blog, The old blog is still up at here and was neglected for a while! so we decided what way to make up for the lost time than to do a remodel of the blog and branding! At first it was one, just me (Ross) but after some time both my wife (Lesya) and Sasha have became very involved in photography and we found ourselves working more and more together as a close family team and best of friends. So when we realised that we where always together taking photo sessions and weddings we decided to change the name to you+we photography.

The "YOU" stands for you as the client, the people we are inspired to take photos of, and "WE" as the photographers capturing your special moments. Our aim and passion is to capture the moments of life that inspire us, and therefore our slogan is "inspired by life" because life is inspiring and everyone is unique and has something different to share from their life.

So without any further introduction we welcome you to the new YOU+WE Photography Blog.

The old RTP branding so in with the new.

Let us know what your thoughts are :)
